Manuscript Submissions

Congratulations on completing your manuscript.

Please use the following guidelines when preparing and submitting your work:

  • For the book proposal: Please submit the requested information listed below and save this as a Word file using the following file nomenclature: LASTNAME_BOLDSTORYPRESSPROSPECTUS

  • For the manuscript: Please send us three representative chapters.

    • Submit your work as a Word file, using the following file nomenclature: LASTNAME_BOLDSTORYPRESSSUBMISSION

Note: Bold Story Press is a curated press and therefore does not accept all submissions. Should your submission meet our quality standards, we will contact you with a proposal. Please allow four to eight weeks for our response.

Book Proposal Guidelines

  • Book details: Title, Genre, Word Count

  • Brief synopsis: What is your book about?

  • Table of contents and chapter outline: Give us a brief description of each chapter.

  • Your market: Tell us what you know about your market. Name 2-3 of the best-selling books in the market and describe how your book compares. Why are they successful? Why will your book be successful? Will it be unique in the marketplace? Describe your target audience. Who will buy your book?

  • Your public platform: We want to know how you will connect with readers. Describe your social media presence. How many followers do you have on the different platforms? Do you have a website? Do you have a mailing list? Are you an active participant in any writing communities? Please be detailed and attach links so we can find you.

  • Author biography: Tell us about you. What should we (and your readers) know about you?

Manuscript Guidelines

When submitting your manuscript, use the following formatting:

  • Black, 12 pt, Times New Roman font.

  • Double-space your lines, and do not include extra lines between paragraphs.

  • Number your pages and use a header on each page including your name, and the title of your manuscript in all caps.
