Victress Hitchcock

Victress Hitchcock

Victress Hitchcock grew up in cities all over the world as a diplomat’s daughter. After graduating with honors from the London Film School in 1973, she spent the next 45 years producing, writing, directing, and editing award winning educational and documentary films. In 1982, she was one of the first recipients of a Colorado Creative Fellowship in the Arts.  Her last two feature length films on Buddhism have been screened around the world and translated into many languages. She is a long time practitioner of Tibetan Buddhist, was married, raised two children and now enjoys her three grandchildren. Since retiring from film, Victress has devoted her time to writing – poetry, creative non-fiction and her memoir, and teaching workshops on Contemplation and Creativity. She lives in Boulder, Colorado and loves spending time surrounded by trees and big skies, in solitude. You can read more about her creative work at victresshitchcock.com.
