Susan Smocer Platt
Susan Platt’s career in politics spans forty years and includes successfully managing the comeback campaign of a U.S. Senator to serving as chief of staff to a future president to running her own campaign for lieutenant governor. Upon her arrival in Washington, D.C., she met Ronald Platt, who would become her husband. For the next forty-three years, they walked the halls of Congress and worked in political campaigns across the country.
After the death of her beloved husband in 2022, she sought the comfort of the country in western Loudoun County, Virginia, along with her 4 dogs, where she continues work in political and legislative consulting.
